After years of research and development, LOTAR Combat® is proud to finally present the third incarnation of the KARNAFF™ (Rhino in Hebrew).
The evolutionary redesign of the first two generations of our MilSpec SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) knife with elite features co-developed with the leaders of the 89th IDF Command Regiment.
The design of the KARNAFF™ Gen.3 required a unique construction process, and the 6mm CPM-D2 premium steel was the perfect solution for building this rugged, ultra-aggressive combat knife, resulting in a lighter model of this nexteGen survival/combat tool.
The all-new flat ground cutting edge paired with the all-new ultra-ergonomic handle provides an intuitive and firmer grip and a more natural disposition for the operator in the hard use of this tactical tool.
An all-new drop-point tip design combined with a reinforced blade gives the KARNAFF™ Gen.3 a "hyper-piercing capability" unmatched by any other survival knife in the tactical knife industry.
The new razor-sharp saw tooth on the back of the KARNAFF ensures an optimal cutting/sawing surface for outdoor and tactical use alike. The new Equilibrium™ fuller from LOTAR Combat® provides the ultimate balance between handle and blade, which is equally advantageous in both forward and reverse grip. Jimping along the full-tang handle and SharkGillz™ on the extended finger guard keep the knife firmly in hand and maximize your technique and fine motor skills during aggressive combat or repetitive bushcraft work in the wilderness.
The nextGen™ Rapideployment™ Kydex sheath, arguably the most tactical sheath in the industry, is specifically designed to hold the knife at all times, at any angle and in extreme conditions, without the need for additional securing loops that could interfere with the instinctive deployment of the blade under stress.
This MilSpec Elite SERE model is finished with a premium matte black DLC coating and was produced in a limited edition of only 500 models, each bearing a unique ***/500 serial number.
Each KARNAFF™ Gen.3 MilSpec Elite is individually machined, masterfully hand-ground and crafted, and meticulously inspected for the limited lifetime warranty.

Vor einer Woche habe ich hier ein Microtech Socom Alpha Mini Warcom in der DLC Signature Ausführung gekauft. Das Messer ist erstklassig verarbeitet und erfüllt alle Erwartungen, die man an ein solch hochpreisiges Messer stellen kann. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.
Die Lieferung von Knife Addict erfolgte blitzschnell. Auch hier von mir die volle Punktzahl.
Great quality, even though the knife is quite small and compact it feels rather sturdy and has some weight to it. I really enjoy the trainer and that I can use it to test out the grip tape before applying on the actual knife.
1 Slight cretic: The sheath is rather tight for the actual blade. With the trainer I can pop it out easily of the sheath (rubbing the sheath on your cloth to release the trainer works wonderful - as shown in demonstrations from Skallywag). But with the real blade it seems a bit tight. When pulling the blade out, there are small plastic shavings on the knife. Seems like the blade is shaving off some of the plastic from the sheath every time I pull it out.
Zunächst zum Verkäufer: das Paket wurde direkt nach Bestellung an DHL übersendet und kam sehr schnell an. Auch wenn es nur eine Kleinigkeit ist, habe ich mich zudem über das persönliche Schreiben und die zusätzlichen Sachen sehr gefreut.
Zum Kauf: Das F1 Elmax in der Edition ist perfekt, hervorragend gearbeitet und in einer für mich idealen Zusammenstellung (Stahl, Klingenform, Griff). Es ist zusätzlich noch 40th anniversary eingraviert. Habe es nun am Wochenende reichlich benutzen können (Holz, Feuer) und ich bin derzeit vom Handling und vom Stahl sehr überzeugt. Den Schärfer habe ich noch nicht genutzt. Am Lederriemen abziehen hat gerreicht.
Bin sehr zufrieden.

Schon beim Auspacken ein aha Erlebnis - mächtige Dinger, man hat was in der Hand! Die Verarbeitung ist makellos sowohl das Messer als auch die Axt liegen hervorragend in der Hand nicht zuletzt den Grifformen geschuldet welche die Hand auch wirklich ausfüllen. Auch die Scheiden sind genial gemacht und problemlos beidseitig verwendbar. Lieferung makellos in aufwendiger Box und wirklich scharf geschliffen. Hart getestet hab ich sie noch nicht, verlass mich da auf die Tests der lustigen Holländer. von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung!
