Here at Toor Knives, our goal is to always move forward and innovate! For the last two years we have continued to develop and fine tune our Folding Series knives. Since first introducing our folders in 2020, we have relentlessly reworked, engineered, and redeveloped them from the initial, basic designs into what they are today. Now, we are proud to announce the latest advancements on our Chasm XLT folding knife!
The Chasm was originally designed as a small footprint pocketknife with the ability to tackle heavy tasks. During our first year of production, we noticed an overwhelming demand for the Tanto blade variation, and with this feedback in mind we set out to make a few substantial improvements to the design. Our most notable upgrade to the new Chasm XLT is the overall thickness of the blade – it has almost doubled to a whopping 0.2" thick! This allows for much more mass in the steel at the tip giving it improved strength.
Next, we introduced a billet titanium milled clip, which offers substantially more strength than our previous bent clips. Our new clips are machined from 6al-4v titanium, also with a starting thickness at over 0.2" thick, which is plenty of titanium for the clip to last a lifetime! Additionally, we’ve added a lockbar overtravel screw which prevents stress that could ultimately lead to lockup failures. This lockbar screw is custom machined by our talented in-house team here at Toor Knives and made from titanium like the rest of the hardware.
The new Chasm XLT also offers an innovative thumb stud design with a smooth tapered finish. We’ve improved the lockup action on the knife, and the open stop position is held secure by the titanium thumb studs. To ensure maximum thread retention on the thumb studs, we've added a T8 Torx driver head to allow for tightening. We have also provided a G10 backspacer with a lanyard hole to add to the overall rigidity of the frame, and the top of the G10 backspacer is machined with jimping notches for extra grip in the palm. Every Chasm XLT features a Black Oxide blade finish on CPM 154 steel and textured G10 show-side scale, offered in either Stealth or Carbon.

Vor einer Woche habe ich hier ein Microtech Socom Alpha Mini Warcom in der DLC Signature Ausführung gekauft. Das Messer ist erstklassig verarbeitet und erfüllt alle Erwartungen, die man an ein solch hochpreisiges Messer stellen kann. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.
Die Lieferung von Knife Addict erfolgte blitzschnell. Auch hier von mir die volle Punktzahl.
Great quality, even though the knife is quite small and compact it feels rather sturdy and has some weight to it. I really enjoy the trainer and that I can use it to test out the grip tape before applying on the actual knife.
1 Slight cretic: The sheath is rather tight for the actual blade. With the trainer I can pop it out easily of the sheath (rubbing the sheath on your cloth to release the trainer works wonderful - as shown in demonstrations from Skallywag). But with the real blade it seems a bit tight. When pulling the blade out, there are small plastic shavings on the knife. Seems like the blade is shaving off some of the plastic from the sheath every time I pull it out.
Zunächst zum Verkäufer: das Paket wurde direkt nach Bestellung an DHL übersendet und kam sehr schnell an. Auch wenn es nur eine Kleinigkeit ist, habe ich mich zudem über das persönliche Schreiben und die zusätzlichen Sachen sehr gefreut.
Zum Kauf: Das F1 Elmax in der Edition ist perfekt, hervorragend gearbeitet und in einer für mich idealen Zusammenstellung (Stahl, Klingenform, Griff). Es ist zusätzlich noch 40th anniversary eingraviert. Habe es nun am Wochenende reichlich benutzen können (Holz, Feuer) und ich bin derzeit vom Handling und vom Stahl sehr überzeugt. Den Schärfer habe ich noch nicht genutzt. Am Lederriemen abziehen hat gerreicht.
Bin sehr zufrieden.

Schon beim Auspacken ein aha Erlebnis - mächtige Dinger, man hat was in der Hand! Die Verarbeitung ist makellos sowohl das Messer als auch die Axt liegen hervorragend in der Hand nicht zuletzt den Grifformen geschuldet welche die Hand auch wirklich ausfüllen. Auch die Scheiden sind genial gemacht und problemlos beidseitig verwendbar. Lieferung makellos in aufwendiger Box und wirklich scharf geschliffen. Hart getestet hab ich sie noch nicht, verlass mich da auf die Tests der lustigen Holländer. von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung!
