A tribute to the men and women who hunt and fish in the Tex Creek area of Southeast Idaho.
Tex Creek is a 34,000 acre wildlife management area which includes 2 national forests (Tex Creek is unit number 69 on the Idaho Fish and Game hunting maps). It is home to an abundance of diverse wildlife and is accessible starting about 10 miles from the TOPS facility. Open range, high rugged mountains, waterways and large forests provide the hunter and fisherman a variety of terrain to acquire elk, bear, mountain lion, wolf, moose, mule deer, pheasant, turkey, quail, rabbit, duck, goose, steelhead and salmon. The fact that this area is so close to our facility enables us to field test in our own backyard. Since many of our staff grew up in this setting, they have ample opportunity to evaluate the use of our knives/tools under adverse and diverse conditions.
It’s a great example of a high-quality, good-looking, work knife. It has a Coyote Tan Powder coat and comes with a quality brown leather sheath. The handles are designed and built for a comfortable grip even after extended periods of use, and with our Rocky Mountain Bull’s-eye handle scales, you’ll have a solid purchase too. This is only our 2nd knife model to be offered with this new grip pattern. Our VP, Leo Espinoza, originally designed this knife for himself. It was going to be his hunting knife for the season. It ended up being such a great design that we had to turn it into a production model. The Tex Creek 69, therefore, is a tribute to the men and women who hunt and fish in the Tex Creek area of Southeast Idaho.

Vor einer Woche habe ich hier ein Microtech Socom Alpha Mini Warcom in der DLC Signature Ausführung gekauft. Das Messer ist erstklassig verarbeitet und erfüllt alle Erwartungen, die man an ein solch hochpreisiges Messer stellen kann. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.
Die Lieferung von Knife Addict erfolgte blitzschnell. Auch hier von mir die volle Punktzahl.
Great quality, even though the knife is quite small and compact it feels rather sturdy and has some weight to it. I really enjoy the trainer and that I can use it to test out the grip tape before applying on the actual knife.
1 Slight cretic: The sheath is rather tight for the actual blade. With the trainer I can pop it out easily of the sheath (rubbing the sheath on your cloth to release the trainer works wonderful - as shown in demonstrations from Skallywag). But with the real blade it seems a bit tight. When pulling the blade out, there are small plastic shavings on the knife. Seems like the blade is shaving off some of the plastic from the sheath every time I pull it out.
Zunächst zum Verkäufer: das Paket wurde direkt nach Bestellung an DHL übersendet und kam sehr schnell an. Auch wenn es nur eine Kleinigkeit ist, habe ich mich zudem über das persönliche Schreiben und die zusätzlichen Sachen sehr gefreut.
Zum Kauf: Das F1 Elmax in der Edition ist perfekt, hervorragend gearbeitet und in einer für mich idealen Zusammenstellung (Stahl, Klingenform, Griff). Es ist zusätzlich noch 40th anniversary eingraviert. Habe es nun am Wochenende reichlich benutzen können (Holz, Feuer) und ich bin derzeit vom Handling und vom Stahl sehr überzeugt. Den Schärfer habe ich noch nicht genutzt. Am Lederriemen abziehen hat gerreicht.
Bin sehr zufrieden.

Schon beim Auspacken ein aha Erlebnis - mächtige Dinger, man hat was in der Hand! Die Verarbeitung ist makellos sowohl das Messer als auch die Axt liegen hervorragend in der Hand nicht zuletzt den Grifformen geschuldet welche die Hand auch wirklich ausfüllen. Auch die Scheiden sind genial gemacht und problemlos beidseitig verwendbar. Lieferung makellos in aufwendiger Box und wirklich scharf geschliffen. Hart getestet hab ich sie noch nicht, verlass mich da auf die Tests der lustigen Holländer. von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung!
